How Our System Works With Your Equipment

The PROLABEL labeling system is flexible to meet the needs of the packing house. It can be placed on in-feed conveyors, sizers, or take-out conveyors. Any place where the produce is singulated. Other systems require a vacuum waste removal system. The PROLABEL system operates with either its own individual rewind or with an optional vacuum removal. This allows greater flexibility in locating your system. We can help you determine what configuration will work best for you.

Sizer Compatibility and SelectiveLabeling

Our system is compatible with most mechanical, electronic, and optical sizers. Installed on sizers that have computers, the PROLABEL system captures the label signal and can label or not label according to the information provided to it. With our system, you can very economically install a "double bank" of labeling machines and selectively label large fruit with one PLU number and small fruit with another PLU number.

Or you can use the system as a stand alone unit without any sizer interface. The PROLABEL system works well with even the simplest mechanical sizers. Your labeling objectives and packing house equipment will determine how to best use the labeling system.

Sizer Compatibility and Selective Labeling

The PROLABEL system is easy to install, is self-contained, and can be on-site configured to run with your computer or operate alone. Typical installations take a day so you won't have to shut your line down to install a PROLABEL system. We'll show your people how to operate the equipment and teach them the quickest way to load label rolls. We provide an 800 number "Hot Line" for any questions you may have.

Precision Fruit Locating

Many packing lines use wide cups that don't always center the fruit. When the fruit is off center and cannot be properly labeled, some labeling systems will "drop" a label into the cup. This causes label waste and makes a mess of the equipment. Our unique Electronic Eye Locator ensures that the fruit is under the label wiper. Even if your sizer sends a signal to label the fruit in a particular cup, the PROLABEL system will over-ride the instruction if the fruit is not in position to receive the label.

Computer interface ability "Built-In"

The electronics of the PROLABEL system are designed with fully integrated micro circuits that allow linkage between your labeling system and your sizer's computer. The electronics have built-in optical isolators to guard not only your labeling system but also your sizer in the event of a malfunction.

Our labels are available in plastic or paper and use only food-grade, approved materials. The labels we provide are flexible and conform to the surface of the fruit exceptionally well. We custom print and die-cut your labels in a wide variety or standard sizes and can provide special die-cut shapes. You are guaranteed consistent, dependable, low-cost produce labeling.
