Produce is where we started, and it's still what most of our equipment is engineered around — labels that stick to wet, waxed, and irregular surfaces, and machines built to run on a packing line, not a warehouse floor.
Produce packaging has a problem most labels aren't built for: curved, uneven, sometimes wet or waxy surfaces that cause flat labels to bubble, wrinkle, or fall off entirely. We solve this at the material level — our labels use flexible BOPP film specifically because it conforms to real fruit and vegetable surfaces instead of springing back, and every adhesive we use is documented safe for direct food contact, not just marketed as "food-safe."
Equipment is the other half of the equation. Whether you're running a handheld applicator on a smaller line or a high-speed automated system, we size the machine to your actual volume — not the biggest system we have available. And because there's no annual minimum purchase requirement, your label costs scale with your real crop volume and mix, season to season, rather than a contract signed a year in advance.
This isn't new to us. Installations from our earliest years in the 1990s are still running in produce packing houses today — the kind of proof that's hard to manufacture and easy to verify.
Pro Label is a valuable partner in food safety, helping us to identify our product.
